A 10-year-old girl was killed after she was hit by a truck around 5:00 Thursday morning.
The Georgia State Patrol said Kennade Patterson of Austell was struck by a 2014 Nissan Frontier as she crossed the northbound lane of Maxham Road near Old Alabama Road. She died at the scene.
No charges are being filed against the driver.
Police said the child was in the roadway improperly and was not wearing reflective clothing.
