PAULDING COUNTY, Ga. — An 18-year-old Union City man has been arrested and charged with murder for the death of a Paulding County man over the weekend, deputies said.

The shooting itself happened Saturday on Shenandoah Drive in Hiram.

The suspect, Oscar Ubaldo Vega-Aguirre, came to the home to buy a dirt bike, the Paulding County Sheriff's Office said.

However, deputies said an argument broke out between Vega-Aguirre and the man he was buying the bike from, 41-year-old Joshua Swink.

That's when authorities said Vega-Aguirre shot Swink multiple times, killing him. He eventually tried to take off using a rideshare service, according to the sheriff's office.

Deputies said they were able to conduct a traffic stop before the car left the county and took Vega-Aguirre into custody.
