Law enforcement in Baldwin County say they're making arrests Wednesday connected to dozens of drive-by shootings over the past two years.

Officers from several agencies headed out Wednesday morning to serve arrest warrants in Milledgeville and Baldwin County for alleged gang members.

Sheriff Bill Massee says the investigation stems from the gang related drive-bys shootings that have been taking place over the last two years.

Authorities in Baldwin County arrested about 23 people Wedneday morning in connection to a series of drive-by shootings over the last couple of years.

Now Massee says some involved in those shootings will be arrested for various charges, including drug charges. But it's not known yet whether the alleged gang members will actually face charges for drive-by shootings.

Police and the sheriff's office have investigated more than 60 shootings, starting in June 2015.

Earlier this year, Capt. Brad King with the Baldwin Sheriff's Office said three gangs --- the 92 Bloods from the Harrisburg area, the 1831 Pyros from the Boddie Projects and the Gangster Disciples from the Milledgeville Manor, are the culprits.
