BARTOW COUNTY, Ga. — The coroner has released the names of the individuals killed in a multi-vehicle crash on I-75 in Bartow County on Sunday evening.
According to authorities, a Kia van lost control while traveling northbound before Red Top Mountain Road. The van reportedly left the road, crossed the grass median, and entered the southbound lanes, colliding with a Chevy Tahoe and a Toyota 4Runner. Following the collision, the Kia van and the Toyota 4Runner were struck by a commercial vehicle, and then the Chevy Tahoe was rear-ended by a Hyundai SUV, Georgia State Patrol said.
Dakarai Mason, 43, Erin Mason, 35, Titus Mason, 6, Brandon Crawford, 15 and Aimee Odom, 21, were all killed in the collision, the Bartow County Coroner’s Office confirmed on Monday. Dakarai and Erin Mason, as well as Brandon Crawford, died in one car, and Aimee Odom died in another vehicle, according to the coroner's report. Titus was originally sent to the hospital and died a few days later on Wednesday, according to a fundraiser and the county coroner.
What we know about the victims
Brandon Crawford, 15, was a freshman at Cass High School and played offensive line for the football team, the Barotw County School System confirmed Monday. The district also said he was enrolled in honors courses as part of the International Studies Magnet Program at the high school.

Erin Mason, 35, was a "beloved" civilian employee with the Holly Springs Police Department, the department confirmed. The department asked for the public to keep her family in their thoughts.
Dakarai Mason, 43, is believed to be family of Erin Mason and Brandon Crawford. Though officials have not yet confirmed their relationship to each other, posts online described them as such. The Georgia Department of Transportation also released a statement, writing they were "devastated to learn of the loss of our colleague" and the other victims of the crash, while declining to comment further.
Titus Mason, 6, was the son of Erin and Dakarai Mason, according to a fundraiser. He was originally one of the people sent to the hospital but died a few days after the crash on Wednesday.
Aimee Odom, 21, was currently a student at Kennesaw State University and attended Cartersville High School. She was remembered as a "bright, shining light" by those who knew her.
Four other people -- including two juveniles and two adults -- were also injured in the crash and taken to area hospitals. The names and conditions of the injured victims have not yet been released.
