FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — An 85-year-old woman was killed after a two-vehicle crash in Cumming on Monday, according to the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office (FCSO).
Deputies said around 11:20 a.m. on Jan. 29, 85-year-old Joyce Crider, of Alpharetta, was driving northbound on Campground Road in a silver 2003 Buick Rendezvous. That's when the sheriff's office said she went out of her lane and jerked quickly into the path of a 2019 Kenworth truck.
Investigators said the driver of the truck was unable to avoid the crash. Crider was pronounced dead at the scene, the sheriff's office said.
No other details were released from authorities as the crash remains under investigation.
