ALPHARETTA, Ga. — One metro Atlanta city is increasingly considered an underrated hot spot for business -- so much so it's been rated one of the ten best under-the-radar locales in the country to start one.
The financial website MarketBeat tabbed Alpharetta as the No. 10 "hidden gem" city for startups in all of America in rankings released earlier this month.
What makes Alpharetta such fertile ground for new business? According to the MarketBeat writeup, the city earned its ranking by "fostering a vibrant environment for startups, especially in the tech sector."
"The Tech Alpharetta Innovation Center and local incubators play pivotal roles, offering vital support through mentoring, funding, and coworking spaces," the writeup continues. "Its strategic proximity to Atlanta, coupled with a robust tech community and exceptional quality of life, positions Alpharetta as an ideal hub for new business ventures."
Alpharetta came in ahead of cities ranked 11-20 including Grand Junction, Colorado (No. 12), Florence, Alabama (No. 14), Muskegon, Michigan (No. 16) and Annapolis, Maryland (No. 20).
No other Georgia cities made the list.
