ALPHARETTA, Ga. — Flames sparked in the garage of a home along Schooner Ridge in Alpharetta on Friday, according to Alpharetta Department of Public Safety.
Fire officials said they received the call at 3:16 p.m. Schooner Ridge is located near Lake Windward and not far from Webb Bridge Park.
When they arrived, the garage was fully engulfed in flames, according to fire officials. Firefighters said they tried to battle the fire from the inside of the home but transitioned to fighting the flames from the outside due to the strong winds.
Two people were at home when the fire started, but thankfully, officials said they were able to get out of the house without any injuries.
11Alive crews at the scene saw the aftermath of the fire, where the garage appeared to be scorched by the flames.
Fire investigators are still working to determine what started the fire.
