HALL COUNTY, Ga. — An arson arrest has been made after a fire broke out at a mobile home over the weekend.
Hall County Fire Rescue and Gainesville Fire Department responded on Saturday at 8 p.m. to the mobile home at the 100 block of Odell Street, which is not far from the Atlanta Highway Seafood Market.
When crews arrived, they found flames ripping through half of the home. Firefighters quickly brought the fire under control and extinguished the flames, and no one was hurt, fire officials said.
On Saturday night, the Hall County Fire Marshal's Office began investigating the fire. According to fire officials, witnesses said they saw a man running away from the property moments before the fire was discovered.
A news release from Hall County Fire on Monday said a 26-year-old man from Gainesville was taken into custody. The man is facing multiple charges, including arson in the first degree, fire officials added.
