Police are investigating an apparent murder-suicide in Athens.
According to Athens-Clarke County police, officers received a 911 call from the Hampton Inn on West Broad Street when managers were unable to gain entry into a room. The call came in around 1 pm.
"When officers arrived they found an adult male and young child deceased inside the room," according to a police spokesperson.
The male is identified as an Hispanic man in his 40s, and police believe the female is his three-year-old daughter.
No other details have been released.
