ATLANTA — The City of Atlanta is closing City Hall on Tuesday, citing winter weather impact the region.
The city had originally planned for a delayed opening at City Hall until 11 a.m., but posted an update Tuesday morning announcing the closure for the day.
According to the city, some services may potentially be impacted. A release said essential city employees will report as directed by their departments.
The full release stated:
Due to forecasts of severe winter weather and to protect the safety of impacted residents, businesses and employees in the Metropolitan Atlanta area, City of Atlanta non-essential operations will be closed today, Tuesday, January 16, 2024.
Essential employees will report as directed by their departments.
