Atlanta to open cooling center as temperatures heat up

In a release, the city said the center would be open for Thursday and Friday.

ATLANTA — The City of Atlanta said Thursday it would be opening a cooling center with high temperatures heating up the region.

In a release, the city said the center would be open for Thursday and Friday.

It will be open at:

  • Old MLK Natatorium at 90 Boulevard NE

It will be open for the hours of:;

  • 11 a.m.-6 p.m. each day

The city also said water will be provided at the center.
