ATLANTA — An Atlanta firefighter will be making an appearance in Friday night's RuPaul Drag Race episode.
The City of Atlanta is hosting a watch party for firefighter Anaré Holmes starting at 7 p.m. at the Atlanta Eagle.
Firefighter Holmes is one of the Atlanta Fire and Rescue Department's LGBTQ+ liaisons. The liaisons provide training across the fire department related to gender identity, expression and more, in support of LGBTQIA employees and communities.
According to a news release, Holmes will attend the watch party to discuss his experience on the hit TV show.
RuPaul's Drag Race is a reality show where a group of drag queens compete in challenges to impress the host RuPaul, a well known drag queen in the LBGTQ community who also got his start in Atlanta.
Drag queens who impress the host win a cash prize and the title of "America's Next Drag Superstar."
For those who attend the watch party, they can donate to the Atlanta Fire Rescue Foundation.
