ATLANTA — A dynamic storm system is bringing some severe conditions to metro Atlanta and north Georgia throughout Tuesday morning, creating some power outages along the way.

Metro Atlanta, north Georgia power outage tracking for Tuesday morning, Jan. 9

Georgia Power: Roughly 5,000 customers in the region without power around 1 p.m.

Core Five metro Atlanta counties:

  • Fulton County: 1,475
  • DeKalb County: 385
  • Cobb County 143
  • Gwinnett County: 242
  • Clayton County: 680

Other counties with high outage numbers:

  • Henry County: 264
  • Bartow County: 246
  • Murray County: 627
  • Dade County: 269
  • Pike County: 434
  • Meriwether County: 447
  • Greene County: 875

Georgia EMC: 48,358 outages statewide around 1 p.m.

  • North Georgia: 6,221
  • Metro Atlanta: 1,115
  • West Georgia: 195
  • Northeast Georgia: 16
  • Middle Georgia: 8,330
