Atlanta Police looking to find family of child found alone in middle of the street on Halloween night

APD said the child was found a little before 11 p.m. on Thursday night.

ATLANTA — The Atlanta Police Department is asking for the public's help to find the family of a child who was found walking alone in the middle of the street on Halloween night.

According to APD, the child is believed to be 3 or 4 years old and was found by a couple driving near Mt. Gilead Rd. SW and Briar Glen Ln. SW in southwest Atlanta a little before 11 p.m. 

A release from the department described the boy as non-verbal. An abandoned child BOLO put out by APD said he weighs about 20-30 pounds and is about 3 feet tall.

APD said:

Investigators are asking anyone with information regarding the child’s or his family’s identity to please notify 911, Crime Stoppers 404-577-TIPS (8477) or The Atlanta Police Department's Special Victims Unit at 404-546-4260.
