ATLANTA — Rapper “Playboi Carti” was arrested by the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office.
A memo released by Sheriff Victor Hill’s office said the elite COBRA strike force “pulled over a Lamborghini that had an expired tag. During the stop COBRA members located 12 bags of marijuana, 3 guns, Xanax, codeine, and oxycodone,”
Playboi Carti, whose real name is Jordan Carter, and Jaylon Tucker were both taken into custody.
Carter emerged in the music scene in 2011 as an underground recording artist.
He later found a career in modeling working with brands like GQ and H&M. Back in 2017, the rapper became a trending topic when he revealed that was dating Blac Chyna.
In 2018, Playboi Carti released his first studio album “Die Lit."
The Clayton County Sheriff's Office wrote Carter and Tucker are "now facing the wall at Georgia’s toughest para-military jail known as the Hill-ton."
