ATLANTA -- Days before a crash that killed Carlos "Shawty Lo" Walker, the rapper had buried his father.

Walker died early Wednesday after his 2016 Audi rolled over while on the ramp to Cascade Road coming from I-285 southbound.

The rapper was best known for his singles "Dey Know," "Dunn Dunn" and "Foolish," all of which appeared in his debut album Units in the City.

Walker, who grew up in Atlanta public housing development Bowen Homes, also helped form the Atlanta-based D4L back in 2003 with fellow rappers Fabo, Mook-B and Stoney.

The week before the accident, Walker had attended a homegoing service for his father, Carl Walker, in Decatur, according to social media posts.

The rapper's final song was a tribute to his late father. The video for the song, "Letter 2 My Father," was posted after his death.

In the song, Shawty Lo sings, "I really father. I really miss you papa" as scenes from a funeral flash on the screen.
