Atlanta announces cooling centers for heat relief this weekend

In a release, the city said the center would be open on Saturday and Sunday.

ATLANTA — With temperatures on the rise, Atlanta announced that two cooling centers would open Saturday. 

According to its release, the cooling centers would be open from June 29 to Sunday, June 30, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at  Selena Butler Park and Recreation Center, located at 98 WM Holmes Borders Dr. SE.

The city also said water will be provided at the center.
