The Toys R Us sign in Cobb County is back in full view and, we'll be honest, we have no idea why it's there - but it makes for some fun intrigue.
The famed toy store, which officially closed up shop last year, reopened its first store in New Jersey on Wednesday. The same day, viewers alerted 11Alive to the mysterious sign resuming its place on top of a closed store at 501 Roberts Ct. The sign had previously been covered up by a Halloween store.
Inquiries have been made to the county, but so far no word on what the sign is doing there.
A Toys R Us spokesperson would only tell us, "We will be opening more stores in 2020, but locations are not confirmed. Attached is the press release."
The 11Alive Sky Tracker flew over the store, capturing a look at the sign - as well as large truck that pulled into the parking lot. Not sure what that might be doing there, either.
So far there aren't too many guesses for why the sign - which appears to have gone up in just the last 24 hours - has been placed back on the store or who had it put there.
The company has not officially announced any more store openings beyond the one in New Jersey, though it is operating a "Toys R Us Adventure" interactive experience in Buckhead through early January.
If it's not an actual reopening, there's always the possibility it could be for one of the many movies that film around Atlanta.
Or, and maybe this is the most likely scenario, it doesn't mean anything, and the company that had used the location for a Halloween shop has simply moved on and taken its stuff.
Some of us dare to dream though.
