ATLANTA — If you're looking for the right zip code in metro Atlanta to settle down, the one that a new report places head and shoulders above the rest is at least easy to remember: 30005.
Not only does that zip code, which encompasses parts of Alpharetta and Johns Creek, rank atop the metro area, it's one of the top five best zip codes to live in across all of America, according to the newest rankings from Niche.
The website, which specializes in school and livability information resources, annually puts out its "Best Places to Live" list. One of the subcategories gets all the way down to zip code, and it places three metro zip codes in the top-15.
Those are:

- No. 4: 30005 (Alpharetta/Johns Creek)
- No. 9: 30309 (Midtown Atlanta, parts of Buckhead)
- No. 14: 30363 (much of Atlantic Station)
The Niche rankings give 30005 an A+ for both public schools and overall grade; 30309 gets an A+ overall grade and A- in public schools; and 30363 gets an A+ overall grade and A for public schools.
Other Georgia zip codes to figure in lower in the rankings were 30022 (north Fulton County) at No. 33, 30004 (Alpharetta and parts north) at No. 39 and 30097 (parts around Duluth and Johns Creek) at No. 45.
