ATLANTA — Big Dave's Cheesesteaks unveiled a new location for its flagship restaurant in the heart of Downtown Atlanta.
The new location will be at 300 Marietta Street NW, which is next to Max's Coal Oven Pizzeria and near the College Football Hall of Fame and Centennial Olympic Park.
On Monday, Derrick Hayes, the owner of Big Dave's Cheesesteaks, said the new site will be significantly upgraded in size and amenities.
"We can't wait to welcome you all to our new home, where we’ll continue to serve the community and make unforgettable memories together,” Derrick Hayes said in a news release.

Earlier in July, Hayes said he would not be reopening his original flagship location off Forsyth Street NW after the Atlanta water crisis.
"The water main break may have closed one door, but it opened another, allowing us to create an opportunity for an even better experience for our loyal customers, the heart and soul of our business," Hayes added.

Big Dave's Cheesesteaks was founded by Hayes, a West Philadelphia native, who named the restaurant chain after his late father. Hayes opened the first location in a 700-square-foot Shell gas station in Dunwoody, Georgia.
