HALL COUNTY, Ga. — Deputies are now investigating and working to identify a man whose body was found over the weekend in Hall County woods, according to the sheriff's office.
The body was found on Saturday on Aviation Boulevard in a wooded area. Authorities said a Department of Driver Services customer found the body just before 11:30 a.m. The customer then alerted a DDS employee who then called 911.
Law enforcement said that they believe the body belongs to a man. They also added the body was in "an advanced state of decomposition."
Authorities added the body was taken to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Crime Lab for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
