A woman was shot during a robbery at a Brookhaven apartment complex over the weekend. Now police are looking for the man responsible for the crime.
Brookhaven Police were called to the Post Glen Apartments on Peachtree Road on November 24.
According to the incident report, the gunman took the woman's purse and shot her in the thigh.
The victim told police a man walked up to her when she was walking through the apartment's parking garage and asked her if she had a light. When she said no, he allegedly ran towards her, grabbed her purse and shot her in the thigh.
The man ran from the scene, police said.
A witness told police he was waiting for the victim to walk over to his apartment, but when he heard a gunshot, he ran out of his apartment to see what happened. He heard the victim screaming and found her lying on the ground, according to the incident report.
Authorities are still investigating the shooting.
