ALPHARETTA, Ga. — Alpharetta firefighters battled a brush fire "the size of a football field" on Sunday night, according to Department of Public Safety officials.
It happened near the area of Old Milton Parkway and Cotton Creek Entry. When firefighters arrived at the scene, they were flagged down by residents.
That's when they found the massive fire that burned an area "the size of a football field" with the outer edges still burning.
Firefighters then put the fire out and kept it from spreading to nearby homes and businesses.
No injuries were reported, according to Alpharetta DPS officials.
