Buc-ee's eyeing this area of Georgia for another store

The company has plans for a 74,000-square-foot store, which is bigger than the Fort Valley, Georgia, store.

MONROE COUNTY, Ga. — The popular gas station and store Buc-ee's is looking to add another location in The Peach State.

The company is eyeing Monroe County to open its fourth store in Georgia. According to the Development Authority of Monroe County, Buc-ee's would like to put the store at I-75 and Rumble Road on the northwest corner of the exit.

"Buc-ee's has been working on their due diligence and looking at this location for over a year," Development Authority of Monroe County President Joyce White said.

The company has plans for a 74,000-square-foot store, which is bigger than the Fort Valley, Georgia, store. It would have 120 fueling stations with 71 clean restrooms, White said. It's also anticipated that it will create approximately 200 jobs that pay between $18 and $20 per hour starting wages and will also offer health insurance and the ability to participate in a 401K. The company also estimates the store will draw 100,000 guests a week.

There's still some preliminary work to be done, but in the coming years, you just may be able to "risk it for the brisket" by pulling over on I-75 in Monroe County and stopping at a new Buc-ee's location!
