CANTON, Ga. -- A Cherokee County middle school teacher was arrested for letting minors to smoke in her home.
Christine Cantrell, 40, is a teacher at Teasley Middle School in Canton. She and her husband, Jeff Cantrell, were arrested by the Cherokee County narcotics squad Tuesday.
According to a release from the Cherokee Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad, both are charged with Possession of Marijuana less than an ounce, Disorderly House, and Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor. They were both booked into the Cherokee County jail and released on $3,000 bond.

A CCSD administrative investigation into these allegations is underway; the teacher in question will be reassigned to a non-classroom setting until the investigation is concluded.
