ATLANTA -- An Atlanta woman recalled a terrifying experience that happened right outside of a familiar place.
"It's been the biggest nightmare of my life," recalled Ronit Pinksy.
Pinksy says she was carjacked as the sun began the set over a place she's been a hundred times.
"I went to my dance class at six o'clock at night," she said.
The scene around "Gotta Dance Atlanta" on Ellsworth Industrial Boulevard appears safe at that time of day. Students frequently walk in and out, and the sun is still shining. However, Atlanta police say that didn't stop a black man wearing a blue shirt and brown jacket from running out from behind a parked car Tuesday and attacking Pinksy.
"I saw a guy running from the car parked across from me and he just kept screaming. He put the gun to my shoulder, and I opened my purse and said, I'm going to give it to you, I'm going to give it to you,'" she said.
He took her light blue Lexus mini-SUV, her cell phone, her purse and credit cards.
Those credit cards have been used in several place which is encouraging to police.
"Most convenience stores now have cameras in the store so if we can nail down a time that will help us identify maybe not the carjacker but at least someone with her stolen property," explained Sgt. Greg Lyons.
Pinksy is ready to fight back.
"I will be willing to identify him and I will make sure that he will pay for what he did to me and could have done to other people," she said.
There are no security cameras outside the dance studio, but the owner says she'll be installing some after this attack.
