CARROLL COUNTY, Ga. -- New details are emerging about a deadly midair collision in Carroll County that killed three people.
11Alive learned the victims include beloved flight instructor 24-year-old Taylor Nicole Stone, an unnamed flight student and 79-year-old William Lewis Lindsey of College Park, a man well-known in the local aviation community. Family and friends are sharing their memories about the victims.
Investigators are still working to figure out what caused the planes to crash.

Fellow pilots said Lindsey, the owner of the Beech F-33 Bonanza, was an experienced pilot who kept his plane in Fulton County. However, people who know him said he went to Carroll County when he needed fuel or needed to practice takeoffs and landings because the airport was not usually busy.
Those who knew him said he was very active in the Civil Air Patrol.
Friends, family and a local pastor have also been fondly remembering Taylor Stone.
Originally from Chattanooga, Tenn., she moved to Newnan and joined Falcon Aviation Academy last August. Loved ones and friends described her as outgoing and passionate about flying and pursuing her lifelong dream of being a pilot.
"She definitely had dreams," friend Adrianna Hemphill said. "Back when she was seven, people are like, 'Oh, I'm going to be a veterinarian.' She was like, 'I'm going to be a pilot.' Not I hope I'm a pilot but I'm going to be a pilot."
Stone leaves behind a younger sister and her parents.
