CHAMBLEE, Ga. — A driver is critically hurt after a multi-vehicle crash in Chamblee Thursday night, according to the police department.
Authorities said it all started when a Chamblee Police Officer attempted to pull over a suspected drunk driver, who then took off north on Buford Highway.
The driver ended up crashing into two cars, causing a head-on collision, at the intersection of Shallowford Road and Beverly Hills Drive, Chamblee Police said. The intersection is near Shallowford Park-- not far from the DeKalb-Peachtree Airport.
The driver faces a DUI charge and is critically hurt, while police said the other drivers had minor injuries.
