CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ga. — Authorities have identified a woman who died after being pulled from a house fire in Cherokee County, according to the sheriff's office on Wednesday.
The fire broke out on Tuesday night; the Cherokee County Fire Department said it happened at a home on Vaughn Road. Crews were dispatched around 10:57 p.m.
Firefighters said they had to lay a ladder across a collapsing porch to access the home at one point. One woman, later identified as 27-year-old Taylor Beasley, was pulled from the home but later died after being taken to Northside Hospital, according to officials.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
