CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ga. — The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office proudly introduced its newest member, K-9 deputy 'Blue,' in a special swearing-in ceremony held on Tuesday, according to a post on its Facebook page.

Blue has joined the force with the noble purpose of serving and protecting the community. This new addition was sworn in by Sheriff Reynolds, with his new staff and family eager to witness the induction of this four-legged hero.

As part of the ceremony, a heartwarming photo capturing Sheriff Reynolds administering the oath to Blue was shared on the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office's Facebook page, with the caption, "Sheriff Reynolds swearing in our newest four-legged deputy, K-9 'Blue.'"

These highly trained canine deputies play a crucial role in various law enforcement operations. Blue must undergo rigorous training to enhance skills such as scent detection, tracking and search and rescue techniques.
