Cherokee county church tagged with graffiti, ransacked, robbed

There's no suspect at this time.

CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ga. — Investigators are looking for the person or people they say are responsible for vandalizing a Cherokee County Church in the middle of the night.

According to the sheriff's office, the suspect broke into the Faith Family Church off Bells Ferry Road in Acworth overnight Monday to steal money and desecrate the interior of the church.

Photos shared by the sheriff's office showed several broken windows, disturbing graffiti spray-painted onto the walls and other areas of the church, toppled furniture and broken light fixtures.

Investigators said they are following on possible leads, but so far, they don't know of a suspect.

If anyone has any information about who was involved in the damage, they are asked to call 911 or Cherokee County detectives at 770-928-0239.
