Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta to host school supply drive to help metro Atlanta kids

Children's reported that the goal is to “help make a greater difference in our community."

ATLANTA — Before school starts in the fall, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is hosting a school supply drive for metro Atlanta students.

For the fourth year in a row, physicians working in the emergency department at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Hughes Spalding Hospital are hosting the drive to benefit three elementary schools -- Finch Elementary School, Kimberly Elementary School and Harper Archer Elementary School.

Children's reported that the goal is to “help make a greater difference in our community."

It added that each of the schools was selected based on the level of need.

Children’s is accepting donations through Monday, July 15. People can purchase items directly from the Amazon wish list.

“Last year’s drive helped supply a variety of school supplies for over 1,000 students in need, and physicians hope this year’s initiative will be another shining success," Children's Healthcare of Atlanta said.

It said the supplies will be delivered to students later this month.
