Church youth minister charged with child molestation

A youth minister at a Forsyth County church has been arrested and charged with child molestation, according to authorities.

FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. -- A youth minister at a Forsyth County church has been arrested and charged with child molestation, according to authorities.

According to Sheriff Duane K. Piper, 28-year-old Sean E. Paul, of Richmond Drive, Dawsonville, Ga. has been charged with one count of child molestation, one count of enticing a child for indecent purposes, both felonies. He is also charged with Electronically Furnishing Obscene Material to a Minor, which is a misdemeanor.

Paul was employed as a Youth Minister at First Christian Church on Sawnee Drive in Cumming. He has been terminated from his position. The investigation began as an outcry from the victim, Sheriff Piper said. The victim did become acquainted with Paul through the church.

Paul turned himself in at the Forsyth County Detention Center on March 14, police said.

Paul is being held at the Forsyth County Detention Center with no bond set.
