ATLANTA β Clark Atlanta University's men's basketball team is fresh off the heels of winning the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Championship. A championship parade was held Monday to celebrate the team's accomplishment.
The parade kicked off at noon at Clark Atlanta's Promenade.
This marks the end of an incredible season for the Panthers, who turned things around from not even winning ten games last year to taking control of the conference.
The Panthers defeated Miles College 65-55 in Savannah earlier this month, securing the team's first SIAC Championship since 2017 and punching their ticket to the NCAA Division II South Region Tournament.
The team ultimately failed in the first round, losing to Florida Southern University, where they fell short 72-80, ending the historic season. However, things are looking up for the team.
