COBB COUNTY, Ga. — At least 18 people were displaced Thursday evening by an apartment fire in Cobb County, officials said.
The fire occurred at the MAA Spring apartments on Spring Hill Parkway near Vinings. Cobb County Fire and Emergency Services Public Information Officer Nick Danz told 11Alive that 20 units were affected.
According to Danz, there were no injuries to firefighters or residents.
"Crews were able to keep the fire contained to one side of the building preventing extension into adjacent apartments," a statement said.
Danz added that the American Red Cross was notified to assist displaced residents.
