Missing teen in East Cobb found dead, police say

COBB COUNTY, Ga. — UPDATE: Shortly before 3 p.m., Cobb County Police stated that they found Springer dead by an apparent suicide.

The Cobb County Police Department said Wednesday morning there would be a "significant police presence" in East Cobb as they conduct a search for a missing teen.

The department said the search would be conducted in the area of 3125 Sewell Mill Road. 

In an update around 10:30 a.m., Cobb Police said they were looking for 17-year-old Reed Springer.

Police said he was considered missing and endangered because of his autism designation.
