FULTON COUNTY, Ga. -- A SWAT standoff has ended after a vehicle thought stolen tipped police off to a potential carjacker's location.

Though they have not released a name, authorities said that a suspect is in custody following the use of tear gas.

Police believed that a carjacking suspect was at a home near the intersection of Jerome Road and Old Bill Cook Road.

Police said they located what is believed to be a stolen pickup truck out of Cobb County outside the home.

When the suspect became aware of the police presence, he's said to have barricaded himself in the house.

Not knowing if the suspect was armed, police called in the SWAT team and used tear gas to subdue the person.

No injuries were reported in relation to the suspect's apprehension, police said.
