ATLANTA — More than 200 households are without power early Monday morning in Atlanta's Collier Hills neighborhood after a tree fell, taking out power lines in the area.

It happened near the intersection of Collier Road and Redland Road. Photos from the scene showed tree debris and a leaning power pole.

The Georgia Power outage map showed a wide stretch of Collier Road, up to Overbrook Drive on one end and down to Spring Valley Road, and on the other end as far as Dellwood Drive, without power. There was no estimated restoration time as of 4:30 a.m.

The outage was not far from Piedmont Atlanta Hospital, but the facility appeared to be unaffected.

It wasn't immediately clear if there was anything that caused the tree to come down, or if it simply fell naturally.
