Columbus State University said an all-clear has been issued after earlier reports of a possible armed suspect in a building. is asking its students to stay clear of a residence hall due to a possible armed suspect in the building.
A tweet was sent out from the Columbus State University Twitter account around noon Wednesday saying campus police received a report of an armed suspect in Clearview Hall.

At 12:53 p.m, the school issued an update on its Facebook page stating that, "There is no report of an active shooter on campus. As a precaution, no one is allowed in or out of Clearview Hall at this time. All other campus operations should continue as normal.
CSU Police received a report of an armed suspect in Clearview Hall. Suspect description is black male, 17-19 years, dark clothes, stocking cap, medium build. Residents are encouraged to stay in their rooms. All others are encouraged to stay away from the area. Police are actively searching that area at this time."
By 2 p.m., an all-clear was given. Police said the suspect is believed to have left the area. An investigation is underway.
