CONYERS, Ga. — A Conyers Police officer was hospitalized and a 16-year-old is under arrest after a chase ended in a crash on Tuesday.
The Conyers Police Department said in a release that officers were "pursuing a stolen vehicle that had entered into the City of Conyers" when the crash involving two police vehicles and two other vehicles occurred.
Traffic cameras showed the crash occurred in the area of GA-138/McDonough Road and the I-20 East ramp.
"The driver of the stolen vehicle was arrested and identified as teenage male (16 years old). He is currently being treated for minor injuries sustained during the crash," Conyers Police said in a statement.
Conyers Police said Tuesday night the officer involved in the wreck is out of the hospital and at home resting.
