CARROLL COUNTY, Ga. — Three women accused of stealing from a Carroll County nursing home have since been tied to crimes around the metro area - and police say they used the same tactics in other cases.
Police in Carroll County are still working to identify the suspects who were caught in the act on surveillance video at Carrollton Nursing and Rehab, with one suspect going behind a counter to steal a nurse's wallet.
In later information, Carroll County Investigator Ashley Hulsey said the trio accomplished the theft by having one suspect ask to use the restroom while the other two stood at the nurses' station. Next, one of the women entered the office and took the wallet out of her victim's pocketbook.

They then traveled to Bremen and attempted to use the stolen credit and debit cards at a Walmart, according to police.
As it turns out, they allegedly used variations of this plan earlier in the day - several miles away on the other side of metro Atlanta.
Authorities said that Covington Police filed a report in reference to three black women stealing a victim's credit and debit card from Shelvie Jean on Monticello Street and using it to purchase items at Walmart a short time later.
Covington Police released video from that Walmart that shows the suspects - two of them wearing the same clothes seen in their Carroll County alleged heist.
Then, just after lunch, three women believed to be the same suspects entered Judy B & Company just outside of Hiram, Georgia. Again, one woman asked to use the restroom while a second woman distracted the victim.
The third woman went into the office and stole a victim's wallet from out of her purse, police said. They then went to a Walmart and Target in Hiram to use the victim's cards, according to authorities.
The Carroll County Sheriff's Office said numerous tips have already poured in since the original post about the crime. Now, it hopes the many new photos and security videos of the women will help solve the case. Anyone with information on any of the three suspects is asked to call 911 or Carroll County investigator Tyler Williamson at 770-830-5916.
Covington Police are also investigating the incident in their jurisdiction and taking information on that crime and the suspects. Tipsters can contact Detective Julie English at 770-385-2148 or email julie.english@covingtonpolice.com.
