ATLANTA — All lanes are closed following a crash on Interstate 85 in DeKalb County, according to Georgia Department of Transportation on Thursday.
It happened in the northbound lanes at Pleasantdale Road, and GDOT said crews responded around 5:48 a.m. GDOT expects to have roads clear by 6:20 a.m. That has been extended to 8 a.m.
Authorities have not released information about how the crash happened or how many people were involved. The 11Alive SkyTracker is above the area, and an overturned truck can be seen on the highway.
Officials are letting drivers through using the HOV lane, but traffic is still moving slowly. 11Alive Traffic Expert Crash Clark said to use Buford Highway and Access Road as alternates.
