ATLANTA — One person is dead, and six others are injured after a deadly crash in front of a Hall County Grocery store on Friday.

Georgia State Patrol said the incident happened just after 4:30 p.m. Saturday in front of the Ingles on Winder Highway, near Strickland Road.

Troopers added that one vehicle was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes of a divided highway.

The driver of that car, 63-year-old Juan de Dios Ramirez, was pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, a family of six, including children, was in the car he struck head-on. All of them were transported for minor injuries, according to authorities.

Troopers then said a third car swerved off the road, hitting a curb, in order to avoid the crash. The driver of that car was apparently uninjured.
