FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — A woman is now dead after being hit by a car in Forsyth County Monday evening, according to the sheriff's office.
Deputies said it happened on Keith Bridge Road near Freedom Parkway around 8:30 p.m. when a 57-year-old man was traveling west on the roadway.
He then hit a woman crossing the dark road from Waffle House to the QuikTrip, the sheriff's office said.
Deputies added that the woman was wearing all dark clothing and that the stretch of road does not have much street lighting.
Law enforcement said the driver stopped immediately after the accident.
The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
