ATLANTA — A 21-year-old was shot to death at a Food Mart along Campbellton Road on Friday, according to the Atlanta Police Department.
Authorities responded at 11:47 a.m. to 2674 Campbellton Rd. SW, the address of the Camp Food Mart, which is down the road from Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.
When officers arrived, they found the 21-year-old with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead by EMS On the scene, APD said.
Investigators are still working to determine what led up to the shooting. According to their preliminary investigation, the victim and suspect were familiar with each other and involved in an ongoing dispute that escalated to gunfire.
