ROCKDALE COUNTY, Ga. -- The chief investigator for the DeKalb County District Attorney's office was arrested on DUI and speeding charges on Friday night, according to Rockdale County authorities.

Rockdale County deputies stopped 45-year-old Craig Scott after he was allegedly clocked going 104 mph on Interstate 20 while driving a county car. The deputy suspected that Scott had been drinking alcohol, but Scott refused a sobriety test. A blood sample was drawn for testing. Those results have not been released.

Scott was charged with speeding and DUI, according to Rockdale County Sheriff's Cpl. Mike Camp.

Scott bonded out of jail on Saturday morning. The car was released to DeKalb county officials on Saturday.

Erik Burton, the spokesperson for the DeKalb County District Attorney's Office, said in a statement, "We are aware of the situation and will follow our internal protocols regarding the matter."
