DECATUR, GA -- A jury was seated Friday for the retrial of Hemy Neuman.
Neuman, 57, is accused of shooting and killing Rusty Sneiderman outside a daycare center in Dunwoody on the morning of Novmeber 18, 2010.
He is charged with malice murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
Neuman was initially convicted in March 2012 for malice murder, but mentally ill, in the death of Sneiderman. The Georgia Supreme Court reversed the verdict in June 2015, setting the stage for a retrial of Neuman.
Jurors for the new trial were selected from a pool of 250 candidates. Fifteen jurors were selected -- 12 primary jurors plus three alternates. The racial breakdown of the jurors are as follows: eight black females, three black males, three white females and one white male.
Opening statements in the new trial are set for Monday morning at 9:00.
