DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. -- The Georgia Supreme Court announced on Monday that it was overturning the conviction of Hemy Neuman in the death of Rusty Sneiderman.

The following is a timeline of events leading to Monday's ruling:

November 18, 2010: Rusty Sneiderman, a 36-year-old father of two, was gunned down outside of a Dunwoody daycare just after he dropped off his children.

Jan. 4, 2011: Police arrested Hemy Neuman, then 48, in the death of Sneiderman. Neuman was the boss of Rusty Sneiderman's wife, Andrea, at General Electric in Atlanta.

Feb. 21, 2012: The trial of Hemy Neuman begins. During the trial, Andrea Sneiderman denied accusations that she had an affair with Neuman and helped plot her husband's murder.

March 15, 2012: Neuman was found but mentally ill in the Rusty Sneiderman's murder. Neuman was sentenced to life in prison without parole.

August 2, 2012: Andrea Sneiderman is charged with malice murder, attempted murder, insurance fraud and perjury in connection with the death of her husband. Murder charges were later dropped.

August 2013: Andrea Sneiderman found guilty of several charges, including perjury and making false statements. She was sentenced to five years behind bars. She served 22 months.

Jan. 20, 2015:The Georgia Supreme Court heard arguments from Hemy Neuman's attorneys, who said said his conviction should be overturned since jurors heard testimony from Andrea Sneiderman, who was later convicted of perjury.

Feb. 2015: A judge denied Andrea Sneiderman's request for a new trial. Attorneys for Sneiderman has asked the same judge who oversaw her conviction to throw it out and let her try her case again with a second jury.

June 15, 2015:The Supreme Court of Georgia reverses Hemy Neuman's conviction, saying the trial judge erred by allowing the notes and records of two mental health experts who examined Neuman before his trial to be entered as evidence.Erik Burton, spokesman for the DeKalb County District Attorney's Office, said the State is prepared to retry Neuman.
