DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. -- One of the legendary Tuskegee Airmen was honored in DeKalb County on Friday.
Harry Rock, 90, was given a replica of the Congressional Gold Medal -- the nation's highest civilian honor issued by Congress.
Rock joined the Army Corps in 1943, effectively becoming a member of the famed Tuskegee Airmen--the nation's first African-American military aviation unit.
One of his grandchildren says the former airman never wanted any credit for himself.
Carter says his grandfather taught he and the other grandchildren games such as chess and golf --- quiet sports that show just how unassuming he is.
