MARIETTA, Ga. — Trouble on Delk Road Bridge again this Friday morning after a tractor-trailer crashed into it in Marietta.
Georgia Department of Transportation said it happened around 4 a.m., and only one southbound lane is closed on Interstate 75. 11Alive was at the scene, and the tractor-trailer had been ripped into on the side, spilling debris onto the road.
Just a month ago, a truckload of potatoes was scattered alongside I-75 at the bridge, and a month prior, in February, an 18-wheeler hit the side of the Delk Road Bridge and flipped onto its side.
Officials have not released much about this crash but said they expected road back open around 4:30 a.m. and have not extened that estimate.
